Okay all your fashion-forward people! I need your help again.
I have an interview on Friday – I have the jacket and the pants, but I don’t know what color shirt to wear underneath. I have a few options – weigh in below, or feel free to suggest a different color that you think might work! I have a cami/tank top problem and I’m open to enabling :-D
Sorry for the lack of consistency in angles/lighting. It’s 6:30 in the morning, I’m not exactly Annie Leibovitz.
The jacket is white with a black stripe, and I’ll be wearing basic black dress pants with it (not my pajama pants, as the pictures may suggest!)
So with that in mind, we have:
Coral:
Light Purple:
Baby pink:
Hot pink:
Choose away! And feel free to suggest something completely different, I’m open to write-ins! (I tied with “Bart Simpson” and “School Sucks” – name that quote!)
The other good part about all of this? That jacket is a 16. It’s from Lane Bryant so it might run a little large, but it’s a 16! And the craziest part is that I had no idea until I looked this AM – I honest to goodness thought it was an 18 when I bought it. So NSV! Yay! But…apparently my eyes are going bad? I didn’t look closely enough at the label. But what a fun mistake to make!

Coral....it really makes your outfit pop!
Definitely coral, it looks lovely - good luck!
I vote for the coral as well. The lighter colors just get lost and the coral looks great with the jacket!
Go with the coral. Makes it pop. K.

the coral is nice, but a basic black would stream line you nicely. Add a chunky necklace with some color to add that pop - a bright shoe would be cute too - and tuck in your shirt. It will look more polished if it's not hanging out under the jacket.
I would go ask Kinberly at http://www.fabfindsunder50.com/
OK.. don't be mad ;-)
But I vote you nix the jacket altogether. It looks very dated, and you're young and beautiful!
I would agree the coral looks best. Very Springy and bright.
But I also agree that the jacket makes you look older and more dated.
Do you have anything else?
coral!
My vote is for the coral too, or the bright pink.
However, I would NOT tuck in the shirt. My mom kept trying to make me do that, until finally the salesgirl at Lane Bryant was like "No, it should definitely be untucked." Reasoning is that as a plus size girl, tucking in the shirt really accentuates the hips, which is not what you want. You want to accentuate your waist, which your jacket does really well. (Really cute jacket, btw! I don't think it looks dated at all!)
Anyway, I wore my shirt untucked. And got the job! So that is my two cents. Let us know what you decide!
hot pink.
Coral for SURE! Looks GREAT. Cute jacket! I can totally tell its even a little loose on you! Get as much wear out of it as you can now! SO CUTE!
Coral is my vote. I think the jacket should be solid if you wear one and also the suggestion from Monkey and Me about accessorizing is good too. I am not a tucker inner so I wouldn't do that anyways but that is up to you.
coral!
I believe in totally conservative for job interviews so I would go with one of the paler colors and very neutral make-up. But on a job interview I don't think you can look too conservative.
Coral! It gives you the best pop and like...screams HIRE ME! Plus, it's always good to go with some color.
I can't believe I'm saying this, I hate coral, but ya, the coral looked best.
I'm catching up on my blog reading... Sorry I missed the voting (I would have said coral)! How did the interview go?
