By fashion show I meant....not a fashion show.

Sadly, friends, I have to take back what I said about the fashion show. I'm sorry!!!! I even went to Target just now to see if they had any dress skirts/slacks to give myself more options, but they stank up the joint with their selection. Which is to say, lack of a selection. I'm sure I'll have a wardrobe crises in the near future and this blog will be the FIRST place I come to!

After trying on two different dresses with my suit jacket, there is a clear winner, so much so that I don’t need to show you the other one. I feel better in this one, I look better, it looks better. It’s a little more straight-laced than I usually wear for interviews, as I like to have a little flair (ha, Office Space) but I think it’ll be okay for this organization, they’re more on the professional-dress side than the laid-back kind of non-profit.

Yes, that mirror is clean now (it's the mirror, not the dress.  I wouldn’t even want the evidence to see the light of day but it’s the best shot of the outfit. I cleaned it right after I looked at this picture. For reals.
I DO still need opinions on a couple things:

1) Is there a way to incorporate any sort of color/personality into this outfit? I could wear a colored tank-top underneath the dress, and it’ll peek through the v-neck part. I just don't want to be too severe, but maybe I'm not, you tell me!

2) Should I wear black hose/tights? Basically I’ll be in all-black. But I have nude hose as well. I have to wear something because it’s FREEZING out, and I’m pretty sure it’s appropriate for interviews. (Shoes are close toed so I don’t have to worry about any toe situation, thankfully)

3) Hair? HALP!

Cute suit!

Nude hose, hair down. As for the color...maybe a pastel tank top under the shirt? It would show some color but not be too bold?

Good luck!

1. a bright scarf, with some pattern or personality. Scarves are very trendy but still look professional

2. No tights. Hose if you gotta, but I think bare is fine too, these days!

3. Hot shoes. Fun, fashionable shoes with some color if you got 'em. Your outfit looks perfect and professional, but you are a pair of black maryjanes away from Supernanny. So be careful! :-)

4. If you don't want to do a scarf, find a good chunky colorful necklace.

5. Hair. I say down looks nice, but because you're all in a dark color, it could just make you all blend together, so I'd also suggest a low, loose ponytail. Swept away from the face so you still get some neck.

GOOD LUCK!!!

1. Do you have a cute color chunky bracelet? Or necklace? Not anything too fancy or over done but a pop of color.
2. Nude hose if you need them
3. half up/half down. If you do the half up maybe you could bring some color with a cute pair of earrings?

Let us know what you decide, and GOOD LUCK! :)

Hair down or half up/down. Lose the white collared shirt (seriously) and wear a colored tank under the jacket (any color! even really bright is fine with your profesh jacket) nude hose fo' sho'. You'll rock it!

I would wear a bright scarf of FUN ear rings to brigthen it up... Also, I would wear dark tights (I know you are getting conflicting advice on this one).

BTW: Check out my blog for a sport's bra giveaway.

Hmmm... I'd go with the nude hose, a colored blouse, a different colored tank, and a necklace that ties the two together. I think some hair up and some down - pull it away from your face but let it hang down in back.

Of course, keep in mind that I'm a stay-at-home mom! :) ~ Angie
