Food 'N' NSVs

Breakfast:

*1 cup cottage cheese
*Can of V8
*Cup and a half of black coffee

Lunch:

*Salad: blueberries, spinach, cucumbers, romaine lettuce, a little sprinkling of wheat germ, 2 tbsp almond accents slivered almonds, and 2 tbsp plain yogurt and a half a packet of splenda as dressing. Delish.

Snack:

*Baby carrots
*apple

Dinner:

*about 1 cup (maybe a little more) of beef bourguignon (HOLY HELL WAS IT GOOD)
*a cup of steamed broccoli
*side salad of romaine lettuce, shredded carrots, cucumber, and diced red pepper with tzatziki sauce as dressing
*half of a brotchen (medium sized roll)

This was the dinner that The Patriarch (the male head of The Family) made for us. The Matriarch said that it wasn’t anything overly bad for you, so I trusted her. And even if it was, you know, it can’t be all cottage cheese and baby carrots all the time!

No gym today. It wasn’t even a “I’m too tired” situation, I just, gave myself the day off. Maybe for good behavior ;-)

A couple of NSVs!

I was looking for a couple of clothing items tonight and pulled down my pair of 18 jeans (from Old Navy) and I could actually zip/button them. They’re still a bit tight, but maybe 15 pounds from now I might actually be able to wear them in public. This is very exciting.

I wish I had more jeans/pants that fit me now. I have 24s and then 18s. I don’t understand what happened in between…maybe I got rid of them during SWL1? Who knows.

Also, I tried on a bright kelly green thermal I have that has been snug for the past few months, which saddens me as it’s one of my favorite shirts. And today it fits me smoothly :-)

AND! I have been wearing a belt the past couple of days because my pants are getting too loose – this is a combination of me getting smaller but also, the damn Venezia jeans stretch out in 2.5 seconds after putting them on – and I’m on the LAST HOLE of the belt! And I can pull it tighter but there aren’t any holes there! I actually could buy a smaller belt!

(PS – I’ll try and get an updated picture of the ol’ body since I’m down almost if not twenty pounds – just as soon as I get my room back, which will be next Tuesday. So maybe the Monday after that I’ll take/post pictures.)

This isn’t exactly an NSV, but I bought a super cute hat today at Target, and I really like how I look with it on. I’m not really a big hat person, I feel like I can’t carry them off. But I like this one, and I like it on me :-) Here’s to little confidence boosts when we can get them!!!

No update on FakeKevin. We didn’t see each other at all today. My apologies if yesterday’s post was immature or adolescent-sounding, but I guess that’s what happens when you have little to no dating experience to speak of – I guess my maturity level in that area hasn’t exactly progressed! Just like the weight loss, it’s all in good time, right? Man, I never thought I’d be that girl that stressed about dating and marriage and all that crap. I know in my head it isn’t worth the worry, but yet I still find myself stressing and making mountains out of molehills.

I think Mountains Out of Molehills should be my middle name. For serious.

What should your middle name be? What’s your favorite NSV? Mine has to be old/new clothes fitting. Or friends telling you how good you look.

Yay for the NSVs! I have had the same problem with clothes. I am lacking in 20s and 18s

I am a hat person so I can appreciate a cute hat :-) (love Target!)

Yes talking pics is in order. You will be glad that you have them to look back to later when you need a little motivation and you can see how far you have progressed. I need to update mine (been a month)so glad you mentioned it.

Happy Friday to you!

Great NSVs - those decreasing sizes are just fantastic, aren't they?

Yay for the belt and shirt looking great! That is a great confidence booster to find that your clothes are looking even better. And I love Target, so I'm sure your hat is gorgeous!
